Hello everyone,

Wrap from Raindrop Geomagic (www.geomagic.com) will strip the surfaces from
an imported model and preserve the points. The points are then "wrapped" in a
new surface, hence the name, to create a watertight solid model. The quantity
of points can be modified prior to "wrapping", and there are several editing
tools to refine the surface if needed. A variety of import / export formats
are available including STL.

Wrap is not CAD software in the strict sense, and is intended primarily to
work with point clouds created by 3D digitizers or scanners. You will still
need Pro-E, Autocad, FormZ etc. for common modeling requirements.

I would like to add, as a recent subscriber, I have found rp-ml to be an
excellent source of current information. Thank you all.

Sincerely,
