Jim,

There is a software package called Velocity2 Pro which will take MRI
and CT data and generate a fault free STL file. In most cases
constructing a STL file from MRI data is pretty straight forward and
fast. Most MRI and CT scanners have their own proprietary format but
will export a generalized image format such as DIACOM or TIFF that can be
read by other imaging systems. This is like the difference between an
Pro-E part file and an IGES file. Velocity2 accepts almost all of these
types of formats.
We resell Velocity2 Pro and also offer the conversion as a service.
If your interested please contact me directly.

                                                  Sincerely,
                                                       Jason Fairbanks
