Hello everyone,
I am about to start testing alternative materials for the Z402, does anyone
have any research information on the subject ?
I am especially interested in metals and materials that will enable us to
build high strength, thin walled parts.
As supervisor of Ford Motor Co Rapid Prototyping department in the UK, I can
perhaps help with advise regarding machines/materials and processes.
I believe this is one of the worlds largest RP centres , so please let me
know if anyone needs any assistance.
We currently have :
LOM 2030H
SLA 5000
Cubital Solider 5600
EOS Eosint 360P
FDM 2000 x2
Thermojet
Z402 x2
Sanders Modelmaker
Other technologies within department:
RIM Casting
Vacuum Casting
Vacuum forming
Wood modelling
Metal spraying
About to install :
 5axis CNC
another EOS 360P
another SLA
We operate 24 hours a day, 3 shift, and heavily use all the machines.

Regards,
Dick Wooldridge
