Depending on the processor these seemingly useless SGI's can be converted to
an NT system. I know that my Indigo 2 cannot but some configurations of the
Octane can. Check with SGI directly for the details. They certainly would
make a decent NT box!

Many RPers have similar boat anchors. They are only worth a grand
or two if you are lucky. Many are still worth much more then that (on the
books). They work well as ftp sites. It is a shame the monitors do not
have the same plug as on NT boxes. I use my indigo2 to do built time
estimates for the sla sometimes. Other then that the screen saver gets
used most of the time.
