Summary: Sanders Design signs European pact.
Wilton, NH. - Sanders Design International, Inc. (SDI) announced today that its award winning Rapid ToolMakerT Machine technology is now licensed to Buss-Müller Technology (BMT), Gmbh, Koblenz, Germany effective December 29, 1999 for manufacture, sales, and support in the European industrial, automotive, and aerospace market segments. Under the agreement, SDI will initially provide four RTM systems and transfer of RTM technology to BMT.
"The Rapid ToolMaker (RTM) system produces the finest precision tooling patterns in the world today and rivals that of computer numerically controlled (CNC) accuracy as verified by an independent testing laboratory" said Al Hastbacka, president of Sanders Design. "The signing of BMT allows SDI to concentrate on the U.S. and Pacific Rim rapid prototyping markets", he added.
The RTM system was exhibited by BMT at the Euro-Mold '99 Conference in Frankfurt, Germany in December 1999. "The interest in the RTM system was exceptionally high", said Jürgen Müller, Managing Director of BMT, "and the commitment by a major U.S.-European automotive firm convinced us of the RTM's market potential for precision tooling applications". "The RTM will be marketed as the 'High Precision ModelerT' by BMT with deliveries beginning in the second quarter of this year", Mr. Müller added.
SDI is a small business founded in 1984 by Royden C. Sanders, Jr., and is based in Wilton, NH. SDI is engaged in the research, development, and manufacture of high precision, rapid prototyping systems for worldwide tooling needs. Market segments include automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics, and industrial tooling applications.
