off topic question on heat dissipation on a casting

Hi all - Question came up from a customer today on the effects of internal
porosity on the heat dissipation characteristics of a cast, heat sink fin.
I'm not talking about massive voids here, but the porosity that can lurk
under the skin.

Is there any sort of spec written on this?
