Dear List:

Gem City Engineering in Dayton, Ohio manufactures a waterjet/laser
combination for Synova. The waterjet acts as a waveguide for the laser
energy. The kerf width for this system is 50 microns (0.002"), and should
meet the specified requirements. The walls of the cut are straight and the
water flow minimimzes or eliminates the heat affected zone of the laser cut.

For additional information you can contact Harry White at at Gem City
Engineering at (937) 221-5297.
