£10,763 - £19,040 pro rata(An appointment is likely to be made up to
£14,000)
1 year fixed term contract 4 days a week
De Montfort University is involved in a joint project with Warwick
University, UMIST and a range of international companies based in the UK to
study the feasibility of layer manufacturing processes for Rapid
Manufacturing.
You will be responsible for undertaking research and experiments in the use
of additive manufacturing and investigating design aspects related to this
novel manufacturing approach. It will be necessary to travel to the
partner's locations within the UK to report on the progress of the project
and you will therefore need the capability to work as part of a
multi-company team and confidence to make presentations to them.
You will have an upper-class honours degree in a design or engineering
subject and knowledge and industrial experience of Rapid Prototyping would
be an advantage.
