RE: large models

Mark Skeehan did a presentation at the 1998 3DNASUG meeting about Lockheed
Martin using SLA models to create shapes of ice build up for a full size
C130J airplane FAA certification test. It may not have been one complete
model, but if I remember correctly, it involved 60+ gallons of resin
weighing over 500lbs. and cost more than $200,000 to build.

        List,
Speaking of large models, does anyone know the size of the largest
SL model ever produced?

                Gert,

Contact Denny Reiland at General Pattern
(genpattern@aol.com). They split up large auto part files into smaller
"pieces" and make the separate pieces on an SLA. Then they recombine and
finish them for presentation by their customers.

                        Hello,

Does anyone have any sample 3D drawings of large
parts? These parts might have been split up into smaller parts so they could
be made in an RP-system.
Basically I am looking for some simple stl-files
with internal contours.

                        Regards,
