Teijin Seiki (TS) Announces that TS has reached the Agreements between TS
and NTT Data and between TS and Asahi-Denka to take over 92.5% shares of
NTT Data CMET (a subsidiary of the NTT Data )
Nishishimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, November 6th, 2000 - Teijin Seiki
Co., Ltd. (TS, a stock-enlisted company in Tokyo Stock Exchange) today
announced that TS has reached
1) the Agreement between TS and NTT data to take over 77.5% shares of NTT
Data CMET (a subsidiary of the NTT Data) and
2) the Agreement between TS and Asahi-Denka-Kogyo (ADK) to take over 15%
shares of NTT Data CMET from ADK.
As a result of this, total 92.5% shares of NTT Data CMET will be
transferred to TS after the anticipated closing scheduled on forthcoming
early December.
- NTT Data CMET founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of Mitsubshi Corp., has
highly been active as a dominant player in the Stereolithography segment of
RPS (Rapid Prototyping System) market in Asia as well as Japan to compete
against TS, D-MEC
(a subsidiary of JSR) and 3D Systems, Inc.
- ADK has contributed to supply specific epoxy-based photo-curable resins
to NTT Data CMET since 1990 of its foundation.
