New Technical and Demonstration Center for Plastic and Metal Prototype Equipment Opens in Detroit Metro Area.

January 1, 2001 - Fairfield, CT. MCP Systems, a member of the MCP Group, the leading worldwide manufacturer of fully automated Vacuum Casting Equipment, materials and accessories is proud to announce the opening of it's newest technology and demonstration center located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. "The opening of our Farmington Hills facility will allow us to better serve the automotive market while enabling us to introduce new systems designed primarily for industrial applications," states Michael Vincek, President of MCP Systems. Vincek goes on to say, " We will utilize the Michigan facility to introduce and demonstrate our latest rapid prototyping system - Metal Parts Casting. This system allows for the manufacturing of cast metal prototypes in Aluminum and Copper Beryllium".
The Farmington Hills Demo Center facility also features the newly redesigned MCP 4/01, the MCP 4/04 PLC VaCastT System, and the MCP 006 PLC VaCast System. As the largest of MCP's vacuum casting systems, the 006 has the capacity to cast parts weighing up to 24lbs. and measuring 2 meters in length, such as automotive bumpers and fascias. These systems are fully automated for production of multiple polyurethane prototypes, wax masters for Metal Parts Castings and injection mold inserts for VaC.A.TT rapid prototype tooling inserts. Hands on workshops on all facets of rapid prototyping will be scheduled throughout the year. MCP Systems is the North American link to the MCP Group. The Farmington Hills facility marks the opening of the fourteenth worldwide demonstration center and joins Fairfield, CT as the second such center in the United States.
