InterPRO is currently searching for a highly motivated career-minded
individual to join our company in the position of Lead Model Maker &
Finisher.
The candidate will be involved in all aspects of building and finishing
prototypes and models, and should be capable of finishing product models to
a high level. Responsibilities will include finishing, painting, and
graphics applications. We look for this person to continue to improve this
area of the business and help develop new capabilities to offer to our
customers. The ideal candidate will also have experience in the areas of
SLA, RTV molding, urethane casting, CAM programming and/or CNC machining.
You will also have the opportunity to develop model geometry using our
in-house SensAble Technologies’ FreeForm system, SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer.
DUTIES
- Supervise production, finishing and painting of SLA and fabricated models
in a timely and cost efficient manner.
- Assist in rubber molding and urethane casting.
- Create better and more functional models by using the latest technologies,
processes and materials available.
- Verifying quality for all models produced.
CLIMATE
This position requires the ability to work in a technical environment where
changes in priorities and interruptions are frequent. Particular attention
must be paid to meeting established deadlines. Some amount overtime will be
required in this position. You must be able to work under minimum
supervision, and work well with peers to accomplish tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in model making.
- Strong skills in finishing, painting and graphics applications.
- Experience with CAM, machining, SLA, molding, casting, tooling a strong
plus.
