Hi!
I'm a post-graduate student at University of Wollongong-Australia. I'm
doing my thesis on Application of CAD/CAM in Rapid Prototyping of
molds and dies. For designing of the part and the mold I am using
CATIA software V5R6. Although I followed the rules for solid modelling
I still can get a proper respond from the software. I'm waiting for
the CDs with the latest release R8 but I really doubt that I will be
able to finish the model the way I want. Although I heard that it is
the most advanced software some times I can’t perform an easy
operation without blocking of the system. I’m using a Pentium 3 on
the Windows 2000 OS platform.
Is anyone working on this software and what is your experience of
using it? What are others problems with this software that I might
face in the future?
