Tool for sharping edges and other features?

Does anybody know a tool to make changes and improvements on stl models. Not only repairing facets orientations and small artifacts but larger regions. It should work like sandpaper for smooting and should have tools for carving etc. Amorphium Pro is the most comparable I know. But is there anything better, more or less for technical parts?
