The person, if it is a person that you take a picture of, has certain rights
to use of his or her image. In certain instances, even objects have been
copyrighted: The Cypress Tree at Spy Glass Country Club in Carmel, California
is an object that cannot be photographed without permission. Until the owner
of the image, the person or object photographed, releases his or image for
publication, the photographer cannot copyright the image or use it
commercially.
