There are several programs in place evaluating and using production RP. We
have been involved in applications ranging from consumer electronics,
medical, and aerospace. The Dept. of the Army has been evaluating mobile RP
labs for production of RP parts on the battlefield.

Subject: RP of spare parts, RM

Hello List,

A colleague (non-RP) watched a program on Discovery Channel and learnt that
on a U.S. carrier, RP equipment is actually in use for the manufacturing of
spare parts. It has been told since long of different projects in this
direction in the U.S. Army et al, not to mention in Space, but are we really
there? Could someone confirm that it was true what was said in the program,
that the goal is already reached?

An adjacent question: does anyone know of and is willing to share good new
applications of true direct RP Rapid Manufacturing?

Regards
