Steve
Regardless of what type of glue you use the manner in which you separate the .stl file can be important geometry dependant of course. We use seperation methods of wood working joints such as "dove tail", "toungue and groove", and "dowl rods". To make a long description short: Increase the surface area on your joint. For illustrations see the handouts for the 2000 User Group tutorial on SL post processing and finishing.
By the way we typically use CA glues unless the part will be under stress in which case Tom's sugestion of Plexus also works for us.

Steve,
Here at DaimlerChrysler we use PLEXUS adhesive. It will adhere the
SLA material to just about anything including ABS. The glued section can
be sanded and painted and is stronger than the original part. Our contact
is Eric Kurzik from Curbell. He can be reached at 248-703-8380.
