John:

I don't have experience with these plastics, but have worked with acetals,
injection molded polyurethane, and glass-filled nylons. My only suggestion
is DON'T use self-tapping screws, use a thread rolling screw, such as
Plastite. You can get info here:

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if they have used a self
tapping screw to secure an injection moulded ABS part to a
an injection moulded PC part? (Going through the ABS
and into the PC part.) What are the design issues involved?

Alternatively can someone point me in the direction
of list similar to this for injection moulding where I
could also ask this question??

Thanks in advance,
John
