Build good models, then use Export or SaveAs with the STL format.
A good model has no naked edges according to the Enaked command, and
ideally it should also pass the Check command without any error
messages. I've built many a model that didn't pass Check, but it's
something to strive for.
Rhino is also able to evaluate the integrity of an STL file that is
already exported, the help topic "STL File Exchange" tells how to do
it.
