Hi Larry,
Not exactly what you asked for, but we have developed a material that we
can pour in RTV tooling that will investment cast really well with no
variable shrinkage.
Let me know if you have an interest.

Elaine,
At OPW we produce a number of prototype and pre-production sand castings
from SLA master patterns. 10-20 different casting designs per year on
average.
Turn around for castings from our production foundries varies, but is
typically 7-14 days depending on the complexity of the part, our project
needs and number of castings required. Quantities from SLA tooling vary
from
1-250.
Casting size ranges from 1-2 ounces (>1 cubic inch) to 10+
pounds/casting.
We have prototyped sand castings in Iron, Steel, Aluminum, Zinc,
Zinc/Alum,
and Bronze and plan to continue to do so.
We are actively seeking an RP process that will allow the creation of
"Lost
Foam" casting patterns directly without tooling.
Any ideas?
Larry

I was wondering what is the largest and smallest size castings made
using
RP? Time they took from design to castings? Anyone doing anything new
in
this area or is it becoming a dead issue?
