Dear all,

Thanks about the compliments about our software! As it happens we just
released magics 8.O where we added a new module called "Optilom" which is
exactly designed for users of a LOM machine. Please take a look at our
website www.materialise.com <http://www.materialise.com> or mail at
software@materialise.be <mailto:software@materialise.be> for further
information.

Kind Regards,

I used to own a 1015 plus, I don't believe there is any way to pre-slice
the models. As far as I know, you must import the stl file of your part
into the LOMslice software that controls the machine. The LOMslice software
controls the crosshatching of waste zones and also offsets your geometry by
the beam radius.

Dear list,
does anybody has experience in slicing LOM parts (especially for LOM 1015)
with other software tools like Magics for instant?
