Apparently this is a german process uses YiAG(?) laser to excite the lead
molecules of the crystal -- some one else can elaborate on the details here
... but apparently these machines are all over the place in Vegas casinos
and even in malls in Phoenix area.

My student had gone to vegas for his 21st b'day and brought back this piece
of crustal (3inx3in) that cost him 85$. There is a face scanner hooked up to
the rig some how. I have not personally seen this. Try this

Subject: 3D Model in Crystal

I recently saw a three dimensional model inside of crystal (or glass) which
was made with a laser. Does anyone have detailed information on this
process?
