It was Russian technology originally, but the main manufacturer now is
German, Vitro.de. They make a mall-kiosk machine that can zap your
face, or other scannable extremity, into a block while-U-wait.

I personally don't care for the Vitro machines; they use a mirror to
position the beam rather than moving the laser, and this results in
less focused - bigger - voxels.
