Magics can convert 3-dimensional files to STL.

Import any of these formats, fix the resulting STL file quickly with the
highly advanced capabilities and the designed part is ready for production
on a RP machine or for tool design.

Magics offers modules enabling import of the following formats:
IGES
VDA
Catia (till version 4.5x)
UG (till version 18)
Parasolid (till version 13)
VRML (1 & 2) to preserve the colours of the parts

Does anyone know a software or anything else (maybe a magic spell) which
can convert a 3ds part into an stl part ?
