Is this what you are looking for? It is a solid with 9030 faces cut
with soccer balls to keep face numbers down. In STL it zipped down in
size to 300KB if you would like it. I'd like to learn a little more
about rp.
I've found high res smooth objects can run into PC limitations with
Boolean operations. I suppose open structures could simply have balls
intersecting before boolean operations. My ap: fomZ took an hour or
two to bool this (with 49 balls).
