blocking attempts. It is nice to see old timers and dinosaurs popup yet
it disturbs me to see how the list has been targeted by spamballers.
The true value of RPML has been lost and the sense of community
destroyed.=20

Thank goodness they can not kill the technology since that vision lives
within so many touched by the RPML. Wish I could be at the user meeting
but all things must pass at some point.=20

Hate to see the RP community without a voice! Sad day when that happens.

It's sad that the first order of business each morning is to delete the
dozen or more virus and solicitation notifications. I'm still
listening, hoping for resolution to this problem.

Boeing is sending at least 3 people that I know of to the RP&M event. I
attended last year for the first time and was impressed by the breadth
of players. We also have at least 4 going to the SLA/SLS UG next week,
including me. The Boeing Company continues to pursue both Rapid
Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing via internal and external R&D. I
believe digital additive production is a huge frontier and will go way
beyond a niche technology. About 2 years ago my group changed it's name
from "Prototype" to "Product" to reflect this. I am excited for the
opportunity to participate in a field with such potential.

Unless I'm just having technical difficulties, it doesn't appear that
there are very many people left (or interested in) the rpml. Most of the
very few posts now made seem to be by the same handful, or two, of
people. Could a few of you, who may not regularly participate post
something new, so that we might see some renewed life in the rpml.
Supposedly there are still well over 1000 subscribers, but the
participation level doesn't seem to support this number. Also, are there
very many people from outside Michigan or the US attending the Dearborn,
MI. RP conference this year and what are your opinions about the
importance, usefulness or cost effectiveness of attending these? Is it
still a MUST ATTEND event? Please suggest some other topics of
discussion. Also, Marshall, did you get any response to your recent
inquiry about research money?
