I think that perhaps one of the factors is that combined with the SPAM,is
that perhaps others, like us, are suddenly really really busy. Less time
to think. Need the time to make money.

I appreciate the recent postings of academic articles and work directly
related as well as tangentially related to RP. as this is, to me, what makes
the list interesting on a day to day basis.

I do wish that the dialog on issues that are structurally fundamental to the
industry like, IMHO, STL format had some feedback from RP manufacturers, but
I belive that most of these companies have a policy of not posting to the
list. It is unfortunate that many people who could contribute must be
lurkers either because they have seen manufacturers being flamed before, for
competitive reasons, or perhaps other reasons.

I would think that SME -Rapid may be better attended this year because of
the rebound in US manufacturing. It certainly is a "MUST ATTEND" for me as
I am speaking! plug..plug...
