Hi Folks,

This is very strange. I don't know where the message below came from
-- this time. It looks familiar and I believe I sent it several years
ago. The content is still relevant and true, except that the second link
is no longer good and events referred to are in the past.

I'd still love to see that $2k fabber!

Best regards,

Dear List,

I've enjoyed the recent thread started by Elaine on low cost
fabbers. Yesterday I visited Behrokh Khoshnevis at USC
(http://www-rcf.usc.edu/~khoshnev) and saw something that might break
that barrier. He's invented a cool new technology that works by
selective inhibition of sintering, and he's built a nice demonstration
device that is very simple and very cheap. It also has the potential for
some interesting industrial applications as well. It's not on his Web
site yet but the school's licensing office has an announcement at
http://www.usc.edu/academe/otl/2953w.htm and he'll be presenting it at
the Austin conference this summer.

No question that 2k fabbers are on their way.
