Also interesting is MIT's focusing on what is important in developing
countries, i.e lower cost ways to expose students to the latest
technologies. It would be kind of ironic if the best educational tools and
methods (developed in the US) are first adopted and widely used in other
countries (maybe they are more receptive). But then, Ford is now licensing
back (first generation) hybrid technology from Toyota, that was originally
invented in the US. So maybe it is possible that lower cost RP could take
off exponentially elsewhere, even though it never happens in the US - where
it was first developed.
