We have a 406 and see the same problem every once in a while. How do you
clean under the carriage?

Richard,
Have you checked under the gantry and the print head carriage. We had
this problem with our 406 and it was because we had buildup under the
carriage.
Once we started cleaning under the carriage with each head change all is
OK.
