Dr. Ghany

What did you use for export parameters?

To try to duplicate your problem in NX3 I created a 1.0 mm cube and
extruded a 0.005 mm radius tube from it. The tube to cube blend radius
was 0.001 mm. The model was exported to an STL file using a triangle
tolerance of 0.00001 and an adjacency tolerance of 0.000001. I looked at
the STL file with Imageware Surfacer and there are no problems in the
file. The longest chord on the outside diameter of the tube was 0.0015
mm. You could probably make this even smaller if you adjust the export
parameters down a little. Though my model was a very simple one, NX3
appears to have worked very well.

        Hello,

I am using Unigraphics NX3 and I need to generate .STL file for
very small medical model. The model has details about 0.005 mm,
however, the minimum dimension that can be produced by NX3 to .STL is
0.01 mm.

Do you know to solve this problem or use NX3 to produce finer
details.

        Regards,
