Your question would depend greatly on the type of output device you
are using and the proprietary data preparation software for each
machine. Those systems that are raster based have a greater likelihood
of combining mesh shells intelligently. Those systems that rely on
vector plotting will have a greater problem at the slice level
You may want to solve this problem by using a mesh tool like
MagicsRP or Claytools to combine these shells into a single mesh object
before processing the file for printing
