I think the software package "Poser" would be very good for your application. Of coarse there are also some CAD models of people on the web, but the Poser models are designed to be articulated and the software allows you to "pose" the mannequins as desired. The software also has various output options.

Hello all,
We are currently doing a project for a local school.
They have designed a “home of the future”, and
we are building them a 1:10 scale architectural model of their design.
We are looking to populate this house with people and an
ideal representation would be a mannequin type figure. We would build these as
sls people.
Would anyone have, or know where to obtain, stl files or 3D
data for such a thing?
