Just in case you didn't know, mail programs insert additional headers to
keep track of threads/responses. Even if you change the subject, and
erase the body, your email still shows up as a reply to the original in
some mail clients.
When I post to the list, I notice similar challenge-response
whitelisting schemes. They can almost never work for mailing lists.
