The carbon filled materials are very stiff, but only really benefit in the X direction

Glass-filled SLS nylon has about 3X the modulus of neat nylon. Could probably get even stiffer using a higher loading or some of the carbon fiber filled materials out there, at least in the XY plane.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find a way to manufacture a part that is 1 inch by 2 inches and has minimal flexing of the material. Trying to keep material cost under $5 per part.

Looked at objet and dimension machines, but the part flexes too much.

Are there hardening techniques that can be used for some of the machines out there without losing accuracy?

Thanks to anyone with some suggestions.

Thanks,

-Chuck
