Piston seal generally needs replacing every few years. I also think
using a lower cylinder heater temp during preheat can increase the life
cycle of the seals, maybe 100F instead of 130F. And, the cylinder wall
on my Vanguard was bowed outward near the bottom which caused leakage
near the end of a tall build. I wedged some blocks between the part
cylinder and the feed cylinder to straighten it out a bit. Arrange such
that the pressure is applied to the center of the part wall, the corners
of the feed wall.

We've run into similar issues in the past - several ways to solve it.
Best way is to replace the piston seal. We've also noticed that the
addition of too much flow additive can cause issues with seals that are
considered good.

Howdy,
I have a powder/nitrogen leak occurring between the part piston and the
piston wall on a Sinterstation 2500+ machine while running. After about
1-1.5" of material the gap fills enough that there is no visible
drainage. So far it has not affected any parts since it is off in the
front right corner (facing the machine) but I would like to resolve the
issue. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions for
troubleshooting?
