[rp-ml] Printing fire arms

So how do you get to the shooter BEFORE they shoot that gun that kills that (innocent) adult or child? Very high liability insurance, maybe (like on an expensive sports cars)? Unlimited liability if the gun is used to kill someone? Licensing all gun owners and all guns? Guns are the opposite of 'creative' 'constructive' and 'productive'! What good are they except if we're being invaded, or they are needed by the police or military? If your life is being threatened (and you can prove it), then maybe you should be allowed to have and even carry a gun, otherwise repeal the 2nd! Was a bad mistake because it was unable to anticipate the future beyond flintlocks, farm communities and the wild west. Now everywhere is the wild west!

I'm a gun owner.  I've made parts for fit-check from SLA and FDM and
shootable parts out of DMLS for manufacturers and they work. Do I think we
need to publish files to allow people to make guns...no.  We're not being
invaded and people of the right age have the right to be tested and
licensed. I believe in the right to own but the outcry in my opinion is
mislead. It's not the gun it’s the shooter.

there is a big flap over printing weapons so if like to hear from all you
involved in the industry about just how real these items would be! Has the
technology reached a real-time production capability? Or is this just hype
and panic?
