Hi all,

I joined the Rapid Prototyping industry as head of business development at Arcam January 1st, 2002, and got on this list shortly thereafter. I remember that the list was well established and had already been running for a long time when I joined.

While this list was very valuable back then, we have all found other ways to network and interact. The alternatives are plenty but one thing that came up this summer is a Discord server set up by TCT Magazine/Rapid News. The server is by invitation only and there are chat rooms and channels for various topics in AM. Activity is just getting started and I have high hope for it to be successful.

I have talked to the moderator and I am happy to be able to invite anyone on the RP-ML list to join. Just click on https://discord.gg/KK59ANr <https://discord.gg/KK59ANr> to sign up and get started. Please ping me on Discord once you are in.

Ok, in the world of spam, fishing etc this might look suspicious, but it is not. Feel free to email me privately at ulindhe at outlook.com <mailto:ulindhe at outlook.com> if you have any concerns. This is also no attempt to abandon the RP-ML list, just another channel to interact in.

Looking forward to chat with you!

Best regards,
Ulf Lindhe

My first accounter with a 3D Systems field service engineer was that of a German that not only showed me how to operate an SLA 1 but gave me the file of a part that I still have with me built in Feb 1990. I have no confirmation of his name but he did teach me well and I would have loved to know from where the part file came from. I call it a G cube and was told to pause the build have way through and place a 5 mm dia. Ball bearing in the cavity And continue the build this having a internal maze game to show clients the amazing capability of RP. This is my prize possession in the 3D printing museum. Would love to hear from the daughter to know more about him.
