Raindrop Geomagic, Inc. announces the release of its updated geomagic Wrap™
beta for automatic surface reconstruction and grid generation from point
cloud data. A free SGI evaluation copy can be downloaded from the company's
web site (www.geomagic.com). Evaluation copies for Windows NT 4.0 and
Windows 95 platforms will be available in late March.

This innovative modeling program can "wrap" a surface around an arbitrary
point cloud and concurrently construct surface and volume meshes. These
surfaces can be edited and outputted to various data formats. The surfaces
display extraordinary accuracy being based on exact computation and
unambiguous rules formulated in geometric and topological terms. geomagic
Wrap™ will run under Windows NT, Windows 95, and on a variety of UNIX

+ Intuitive and simple user interface that can be learned in 30 minutes
