The following is an announcement for the 1998 3D Systems North American
Stereolithography User's Group Conference and Annual Meeting. Apologies
for the length of this message. However, the information is pertinent
to those wishing to attend. A call for papers will be forthcoming.

Steve Deak
1998 Secretary 3DSNASUG

Dear 3D Systems Stereolithography Users,

I am pleased to announce that plans are being finalized for the 1998
Conference and Annual Meeting of the 3D Systems North American
Stereolithography Users Group. This information packed event will be
held during the week of March 1-5, 1998 at the Adam's Mark-Riverwalk in
San Antonio, Texas. For reservations, please call 800-444-2326 and
remember to mention the 3DSNASUG.

This year's conference promises to be unique in many ways. First, our
industry has tipped the scales from being primarily research driven to
being focused heavily on operations and financial results. Therefore we
will have educational opportunities for both bottom-liners and
academicians as well. Also, since stereolithography has been around for
a solid twelve years now, there are more newcomers than ever who are
entering a field populated with equipment of incredible complexity when
compared with the first entrants in the market. These new users need
lots of basic AND advanced information and they need it now. We will
help them bridge the knowledge gap and walk away with valuable tips and
techniques as well as education about the process itself. No matter
where you are on the learning curve, you won't want to miss this
landmark event for 3D Systems Stereolithography users. Things to see
include the following:

Justification of SLA investment
Current research activities
Important vendors to meet
Learn about 3rd party software
One on one time with 3D and outside experts
Resin selection information
SLA-250, -350, -500 specific information
Statistical Process Control
Managing an operation
Self maintenance

And as always we are seeking your participation. Send us abstracts of
technical papers or ideas that you have for participation in some other
way such as case studies, unique technology implementations, tutorials,
posters, etc. See the attached Call for Participation for details and
feel free to be creative in your suggestions - this is YOUR conference.
The registration form is also enclosed and we encourage you to register
early in order to both save money and to reserve a spot, since we expect
a tremendous turnout. Keep up the good work, and we look forward to
seeing you in San Antonio!
