While I agree the market and declining profits were factors in the Plynetics
Express downfall, I don't agree that the market was the main reason for
Plynetics Express to go out of business.

While still employed with Plynetics in October of 1997, I did a strategic
analysis of the business using the information I had. The analysis, along
with some strategic modeling that is based on the GE stoplight analysis
method and Stanford methods, showed that the firm would probably not last 18

The details of the Plynetics Express failure were a classic examples of what
not to do in a merger, in high growth mode, and when the vision of a firm is
lost, and more. It would be a great example for Inc. or Fortune to profile,
or for TCT to go after. Learning from the hard knocks of the other guy.
