> What is IPT?

In Germany, it stands for the Fraunhofer Institute for Production
Technology (FhG-IPT) located in Aachen. They have been developing and
working with RP for many years ..... and the facility and people are
impressive. One of their processes, originally co-developed with the
Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (FhG-ILT), also in Aachen, is
called Controlled Metal Buildup (CMB) -- another three TLA (three letter
acronym). CMB is a process that's similar to LENS. Anyone from IPT care
to elaborate?
