We have a FDM 2000 which is basically the same machine as the FDM 3000, with the FDM 2000 having a 10" X 10" X 10" build envelope. We have been using Waterworks since mid December 1999. I would not want to go back to the old methods of supports. For instance, I made a part with a hollow pocket with only a small hole and the support material was completely dissolved and removed. I could not have make that part using the old system. The support material tends to cause strings at times but basically I think it has been a real improvement. The ultrasonic cleaners can be noisy.
