Hi Ian,

This is Gerard Ryder, we have met on at least one occasion at one of the
Conferences. Anyway I am the manager of the Rapid Design and Manufacture
Centre that has been set up between the University of Glasgow, The
University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian and the Glasgow School of Art.
We have a ZCorp 3D Printer and a Stratasys FDM 3000 with soluble supports.
Our primary goals are research, education and technology transfer. We've had
over 1000 students through the Centre in the past year and a half and over
100 building models. We are trying to get research funding for a couple of
projects at the moment but finding our lack of track record a problem.

As for other Centres there is one up in Dundee, Dundee by Design, they have
thermojet and vacuum casting,
Paisley University have a Thermojet, but don't know much about what they are
trying to do yet
and there is one bureau up in Stirling, CA Models, that has several SLA
systems, an SLS system, cnc machining, vacuum casting and a gang of model

Users in this part of the country, a fair few, we have a number of companies
that work with us and I know of the companies that use CA Models.

If you want any more information, don't hesitate to get in touch

I wanted to know if there are any RP Centres/users in the Glasgow
