Please feel free to play around with the free trial version of the
DeskProto software, available at
This software is exactly aimed at converting STL files to toolpaths
for Rapid Prototyping (3D only). Connecting to the Sinumeric is no
problem using ISO plain G-codes.
The limitation is that DeskProto will only support the X, Y and Z
axis, and will keep A and B rotation axes on 0.0
We have more clients using a 5 axis machine for RP this way.
