        Absolutely! Back in about 1994, I wrote an article for the RP
Report about micro-Velcro being developed by Kris Pister, then at UCLA.
This kind of control is interesting because it would allow us to
fabricate structures on the surface of a material which can then be used
to hold together larger composite structures in variable configurations.
To bring it into the world of RP or fabbers requires being able to
control the process via CAD, which ought to be feasible.

        Very exciting possibilities.

        Of course, the best thing about the article was learning the new
word, "gobsmacked!"
