if you save it as an MGX (or self extracting MGX) file in Magic's it
will be a much smaller file to send. If you don't have Magic's then STL
Zip is available from materialise. As an example a 44MB STL file will
compress to a 2.4MB MGX file, and you can add as many STL files as you
like to one MGX

Many of you have probably run into a problem in transmitting large STL
files via email. One solution is to use Google mail which allows you to
store more than 2.5 gigabytes in one account. The service is free, but
you need to be recommended by another user or have a mobile phone which
can accept text messages.
