Please check out www.flashtl.com for the new FlashTL Engineer software.
In the Analyzer module you can slice an STL model and output a slice as
DXF. DXF can be plotted in any resolution. Other features of the
software are 2D Drawings on STL and STL Painting.
You can download a demoversion to try things out.

Onderwerp: Creating bitmap files for each layer

Does anyone out there know of any software that can take STL or other 3D
file formats and make bitmap images of each layer. We need to be able
to
control the resolution of each bitmap. Any other type of image format
would also work such as .jpg or .gif. It would also be desireable to
create these bitmaps of different STL files at the same time (such as
the
actual part and its support structure). Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
