Doug,
To the best of my knowledge, no one is offering Arcam parts here in the U.S., although Arcam itself may quote jobs here in the U.S. Contact Magnus Rene at magnus.rene@arcam.com. On February 3, 2003, Arcam received an order for an EMB S12 machine from North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC). The machine will be installed in the university's Department of Industrial Engineering. Delivery is planned for Q1 of this year.
Several organizations are operating Extrude Hone's ProMetal machines here in the U.S. The company offers services through its X1 Manufacturing operation. Visit http://www.prometal-rt.com or phone 800-367-1109.
Alphaform AG is a German product development service provider specializing in prototypes. It offers a range of services, including stereolithography, laser sintering, urethane casting, and high-speed cutting, but I don't believe it manufactures a machine that produces metal parts. You can learn more about the company at http://www.alphaform.de.
Note that my e-mail address has changed from twohlers@compuserve.com to tw@wohlersassociates.com. Also, note that we have added a new feature (Wohlers Talk) at http://wohlersassociates.com. Its purpose is to provide random news, thoughts, and ideas associated with rapid product development.
Best regards,
Terry

Hey All,
Does anybody have any experience with parts made by Arcam?
Pro-Metal?
Alphaform?
Are there people offering these services in the US?
Thanx,
